Abstract

Smartphone based advanced driver assistance systems represent an affordable solution to increase driver safety. However, there are certain limitations that prevent a wide spread adoption. False alarms will lower driver’s trust in the system, thus increasing the chances that the driver will stop using it. The Attrakdiff questionnaire was used to obtain subjective data regarding the usability and design of the proposed ADAS. Results showed that users are stimulated by the novelty of the product, supported by its useful functions.
