The Chassis Design for Three-Wheeled Electric Motorcycle

Abstract
The paper points out the main features of the designed three-wheeled electric motorcycle, whose front side has oscillatory movement. The solution is a genuine one comprising a hinge joint that affords this oscillatory movement around the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the rear side improves the vehicle stability. The welded assembly of the chassis structure was analyzed with the FEM software applied for the entire frame. There were studied the cornering, the deceleration and the dynamic behavior on the straight trajectory with maximum computed load using the proposed mathematical model. The analysis results afford increasing stiffness and could improve the safety, so some practical solutions were described.
