Abstract

Road transportation and traffic represent few of the most significant factors that lead the social and economic modern life and human community. Developing and defining new concepts, models, systems and technologies for road traffic control and for transportation event as well as all their corresponding parts is problematic without using networking and computer aided processing power in designing, testing, analyzing and evaluation processes. The main objective of the present research is highlight the innovative and advanced method in car crash rapid evaluation of some vehicles caught in specific traffic events from metropolitan area of Cluj-Napoca in order to communicate the actual values and status to whom it may concern (being the emergency services, police, employer company or own family). Specific objectives are consisting in developing a theoretical study of the concept for advanced engineering method in car crash data collection, evaluation and an applied research developed in the Automotive and Transportation Department at Technical University from Cluj-Napoca with the real vehicles caught in road events. Results of the research are gained both by computation and practical determinations. Experimental results were recorded and accurately analyzed and discussed. There were pointed out some new concepts in the presented concept. Explicit graphic models, computer designs and networking capabilities are detailed. Some innovations and developing potential are outlined. By evaluating the real events and by configuring the system architecture to validate concept (data transfer and status definition), final result consisting in preliminary application is recorded/stored.
