AMMA 2013

Between 17th and 19thof October2013, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca organized the 3rdAMMA - Automotive, Motor, Mobility, Ambient - International Congress under the high patronage of FISITA, accompanied by a series of events meant to focus the attention of specialists in the field of automotive and road transport engineering. 

The Congress was hosted by the Department of Automotive Engineering and Transports, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, which it’s the one of the excellence poles in applied and fundamental researches in the automotive and transportation industry, with national and international recognition.  

During the 3 days of the AMMA 2013 International Congress,the city of Cluj-Napoca became an international center for automotive engineering,offering networking and information possibilities on the major issues of vehicle development and environmental protection.

The fields of interest of theAMMA 2013 International Congress were directly related to automotive scientific research, inventions and ideas, new and emerging technologies related to the following topics: powertrain and propulsion, advanced engineering and simulation, road safety and traffic, materials and technologies, green vehicles and pollution. The Congress offered the opportunity for all automotive and environmental specialists (researchers, designers, users and producers) to make a positive exchange of views and opinions in order toimprove education in these areas. More 275 of participants, of which more than 150 were authors of papers, had the opportunity to engage in scientific papers, workshop, section works, exhibitions, recreational activities.The Congress also offered a good opportunity to PhD students and postdoctoral researches, from automotive engineering and transportation field, to present their achievements. At the same time, it offered the possibility to meet, to get to know each other, but first of all, to acknowledge the aims of research and studies activities that were approached.

The keynote speakers of the AMMA 2013 Congress opening and plenary sessions were: Günter Hohl - President of EAEC, GigelParaschiv - State Secretary of MEN, Aurel Vlaicu – Rector of UTC-N, Adrian Clenci - President of SIAR, Gheorghe-Alexandru Radu - Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania and Stefan Kanya - Regional General Manager of SE Europe -AVL List GmbH.

After the official opening of the Congress, participants were invited to assist at the presentationof 82 scientific articles. The scientific articles were published in Central European Journal of Engineering, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering and Acta Technical Napocensis, Series: Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development Entrepreneurship, journals indexed in International Data Bases.
